CUPC 2021 – Undergraduate Registration
CUPC 2021 registration is officially open!
Registration will remain open until October 29th at 11:59 pm (EST), but don’t wait until the deadline because the first 150 registered undergraduate delegates by October 15th will be eligible to receive a delegate swag bag, with additional perks for Undergraduate CAP Affiliates!*
Please note that there is a $20 fee associated with conference registration, which includes tax and processing fees. If you need assistance covering this fee, please consult with your institution’s physics department or email us directly at cupc2021@ryerson.ca.

*Only the first 150 undergraduate students registered before October 15th will be eligible to receive a swag bag. Simply registering before October 15th does not guarantee that you will be receiving a swag bag.
Student Research Presentations
CUPC will be offering undergraduate students the opportunity to present their research in various fields of physics in either oral, poster, or creative presentation formats. More details will be available shortly! The conference will be a great opportunity to showcase your research and learn from others’ work too. As for research supervisors, with the conference being virtual, it provides a great opportunity to showcase the work of all your students.
This year, we are making an addition to oral and poster presentations: a creative presentation format. This will allow students to share artwork, personal stories, project models, demos, etc. If you are interested, feel free to propose a new format.
Already have an idea of what you’ll be presenting? Submit your abstract here before October 8th, 2021 at 11:59 pm (EST).
Science Communication Competition
With science communication becoming increasingly important, especially with current affairs being very science-focused, we would like to offer delegates an opportunity to showcase and practice their science communication skills. Using physics prompts provided by the CUPC team, delegates can create a short video (~5 minutes) explaining a complex concept or answering a complex question to a younger audience.

Volunteer at CUPC 2021
Our team is looking for some dedicated volunteers to help run some events at CUPC 2021! All volunteers who meet our requirements will receive free delegate registration for the conference and access to all events. All details for volunteering can be found in this document: Volunteering Information

Undergraduate Mentorship Panel
This year, would like to introduce an Undergraduate Mentorship Panel. The panellists will include undergraduate physics students from across Canada who will provide advice to senior high school students who are interested in possibly applying to an undergraduate physics program. This also allows an opportunity for upper-year students to give advice to delegates in their first or second year of undergraduate study.
