The Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference (CUPC) is an undergraduate research conference in which students from all over Canada engage and share knowledge regarding physics and astronomy. CUPC provides delegates with the opportunity to network with peers and industry professionals, learn about the exciting research of experts, and find opportunities in the field of physics. We invite all undergraduate students and first-year Master’s students to share their work and meet peers from the entire Canadian physics and astronomy community.

The CUPC 2023 team is monitoring the status and situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, and is dedicated to providing a safe, clean, and accessible environment that’s still educational, engaging, and fun. With that in mind, we are currently planning for CUPC 2023 to be held in person, with a full schedule of lectures and activities. Please watch our socials for further updates, should anything change!

The 59th Annual Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference will be hosted by the University of Waterloo from October 26th to 29th, 2023.  The CUPC 2023 organizing team is proud to show off our lovely campus located in Waterloo, Ontario.

The CUPC organizing team recognizes and acknowledges that their university is situated in Waterloo, historically known as the Dish with One Spoon territory.

“The University of Waterloo acknowledges that much of our work takes place on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Anishinaabeg and Haudenosaunee peoples. Our main campus is situated on the Haldimand Tract, the land granted to the Six Nations that includes six miles on each side of the Grand River. Our active work toward reconciliation takes place across our campuses through research, learning, teaching, and community building, and is coordinated within the Office of Indigenous Relations”
