Student Oral and Poster Presentations are essential to the Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference, as science communication is a fundamental skill for students seeking careers or opportunities in STEM. These presentations provide an opportunity for students to practice science communication, through sharing information on topics of interest, or on research done during co-ops and other internships.
If you are an undergraduate student interested in delivering an Oral or Poster Presentation at CUPC 2026, information about abstract submissions can be found here. Deadline for submission is September 13, 2026, after which further abstracts will only be accepted on a first come first serve basis.

Tips for Oral and Poster Presentations
Poster Session:
Friday, October 16, 1:15-2:45 pm, in the Loft at the Hub. Presenters should arrive at least 15 minutes ahead of time to set up. Please refer to your poster ID number to help you locate your spot.
Oral Presentations:
Session 1: Friday, Oct. 16, 5:00 – 6:00 pm
Session 2: Saturday, Oct. 17, 9:00 – 10:00 am
Session 3: Saturday, Oct. 17, 1:30 – 3:15 pm

Presenters are allocated 10 minutes + 2 minutes for questions (total of 12 minutes).
Poster Presentations (Friday, Oct. 16 1:15-2:45):
Poster boards will accommodate posters up to 109 cm (43 inches) wide and reach 183 cm from the floor. Either portrait or landscape works. Portrait works well with dimensions 4′ high and 3′ wide. Pushpins will be provided. If you have a previously printed poster, feel free to use that as long as it will fit within 109 cm (43 inches) wide.
