CUPC 2022

The 58th Annual Canadian Undergraduate Physics Conference was hosted virtually from October 27th to 30th, 2022, by the University of Guelph. —————————– The CUPC 2022 team is monitoring the status and situation of the COVID-19 pandemic, and is dedicated to providing a safe, clean, and accessible environment that’s still educational, engaging, and fun. With that in mind, we are currently planning for CUPC 2022 to be held in a hybrid format, with lectures and activities happening both in-person and online. Please watch our socials for further updates, should anything change! Note: the poster presentation length has now been shortened to 3-5 minutes. The CUPC organizing team recognizes and acknowledges that their university is situated in Guelph, historically known as the Dish with One Spoon territory. “The Dish with One Spoon is an agreement between Hodinöhsö:ni’ Anishinaabeg, and their allied nations to live peaceably on the lands throughout what is now known as the Great Lakes Region. The circle at the centre is a dish with a beaver’s tail, indicating that they will have one dish and what belongs to one will be shared among all. We are to eat of the beavertail, using no sharp utensils, to prevent the shedding of blood. We all share resources and everything the Creator has provided for us upon our arrival to Mother Earth.”
